Glens Running Club are holding a workshop next Thursday 27th at 7.00pm in CSBC. This invite is open to ALL runners AND sports people from the local area.
Come along and hear the fascinating stories from the athletes, who have traveled from their rural villages in Kenya and have dominated numerous road races all over the UK and Ireland.
We will discuss their training in Kenya, diet and touch on the path the athletes took to get to where they are today. From a rural Kenyan upbringing to running world class times here in the uk and ireland. AN EVENT NOT TO BE MISSED.
Guys & Girls. On this weekend perhaps posting on Facebook and moving the race to Saturday, as far getting on the water goes, is the correct decision. But I am extremely concerned that we are running our sailing on Social Media. The way racing is organised is by Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions and that is for a good reason. I know that the FB posts are for the very best of intentions but what is someone is not on FB? In the long term it would perhaps be a more productive thing to have lost this Sunday's race. What about people who have organised their weekend to sail on Sunday afternoon? What about the Race Officer who is coming on Sunday. I'm sorry people to give a wet towel on this, I would not post this if I did not think it is for the best of our club sailing. ... See MoreSee Less

James FarrellIt good that we are doing extra sailing. I was following the posts over the last few days and the theme was 'bringing the race forward' so apologies for my misreading.
Hope all goes well tomorrow
