A great turn out on Saturday 29th August at Cushendall Sailing and Boating Club saw David Hopkins crowned the Junior Regatta Champion.
Windy conditions nearly called off the event but with plenty of rescue cover provided, the fleet managed to complete 2 races on the water. The fleet was made up of Toppers, Picos, a laser 4.7 and a Laser 2000 sailed by youths aged from 11 to 16.
The Topper class saw the greatest competition with 3 boats being tied for 2nd place, but was won by overall winner David Hopkins. The open class was won by Jack Alton sailing a Laser 4.7. The Under 12 Trophy went to Emma Bates.
Congratulations to all who took part.
