Yesterday's Safety Boat course got interrupted as our instructors took time off to play with 1 of the Sailing School's new RS Quest dinghies. Smiles all round!
The Safety Boat course continued producing a bunch of RYA qualified Safety boaters!
A very big thanks to Chloe, Hannah, Finn and Mark who braved the cold water to be rescued as our crash test dummies!.

The toughest test I've never been apart of mostly because we underestimated the challenge, the competition, and the amount of people needed the make a team, The tortoise and the hare story comes to mind. We all said after we wouldn't be back, but that's not how we are made!
Looking help with this years 24hr race , give me a shout if you think you could do an hour.

Brian HolmesCurly Morris and his GP14 Association team entered a very focused team to take the trophy last year so we need some serious entries this year to make it hard for them to repeat their feat. University teams from Glasgow and Aberdeen are already in touch. Upping the game at Coleraine so get in there! Cushendall you have the sailors to do it.

Boxing Day Cycle

See below for details of our annual two-wheeled excursion on Boxing Day. Weather usually dictates that we cycle the Coast Road to Ballygally and back with groups formed from varying abilities, so all are welcome.

  • Leave the club at 11:00
  • Aim to return by 14:00
  • Soup and sandwiches
  • Roaring fire
  • Showers available
  • Bar open all day

Please note the cycle is not being run by CSBC and you are therefore responsible for your own safety

Volunteers

The committee would like to build up a database of potential volunteers for club events and occasions. If you feel you can volunteer for anything such as safety boat driving (must be suitably qualified), marshalling, barbequing, dinghy launching or anything at all that can help with the running of the club, then please contact or pass on your details to John Lowry (johnalowry@hotmail.co.uk). John will be coordinating volunteers over the summer months and any assistance no matter how small or short is greatly appreciated by everyone at the club. Many thanks, John.
