The sailing season has started….

Last Sunday there was an impressive turn out of sailors for the 1st scheduled race of 2014 but unfortunately the 30+ knot gusts kept all ashore.

To continue running our races we need people (spouses, retired sailors, cruiser sailors, mummies & daddies et al) to be race officer and rescue boat crew.

Please volunteer for a morning in some capacity.

If you need training or help that will be given.

A ‘race officer’ training is in the offing

Powerboat level 2 and safety boat courses are available.

If you are interested please contact James.

NB there are opportunities this Sunday!

Boxing Day Cycle

This year, we’re organising a Boxing Day cycle. So if you fancy getting out on the bike and working off the Christmas turkey then check the details below.

Leave the boat club at 11:00. Will decide the routes on the day but aim to have options for varying levels of ability/enthusiasm. Aim for everyone’s return to the club by approximately 14:00.

Bar is open all day so plenty of time to leave the bikes home/get changed etc before heading to the boat club to a roaring fire, drinks and a hot bowl of something hot at approximately 16:00.

Please note the cycle is not being run by CSBC and you are therefore responsible for your own safety.

Everyone welcome, but please let me know if you are keen so I can plan for numbers.
