Volunteers

The committee would like to build up a database of potential volunteers for club events and occasions. If you feel you can volunteer for anything such as safety boat driving (must be suitably qualified), marshalling, barbequing, dinghy launching or anything at all that can help with the running of the club, then please contact or pass on your details to John Lowry (johnalowry@hotmail.co.uk). John will be coordinating volunteers over the summer months and any assistance no matter how small or short is greatly appreciated by everyone at the club. Many thanks, John.

Ill miss the turkey race but the hurricane 5.9 will be on the water and as always heres an update of things in belfast lough www.facebook.com/groups/412080215518344/permalink/1595600463832974/Comrades, this Sunday is the final day's racing at the Bosun Bob's Frostie Series at Royal North. Four races are scheduled with the first gun at 12.56. HW is at 10.40 and the wind is looking fresh if not a tad blowy!

So who is going to pick up the new perpetual trophy? It looks like it will go down to the wire, a battle between Paul McLaughlin & Owen McKinley from Cushendall versus Trevor D'Arcy & Ginge from Carrickfergus, but can Hammy Baker, Bob Espey, Flipper, Stephen McLernon, Barry Mac or Chris Penny mess them up so I can sneak into first?? And pigs might fly! It's going to be tighter than a badgers backside!

Prize giving and the fabulous Christmas dinner will happen in the club straight after racing. If you would like to come along, it is not too late, please let me know before the end of today. PS, please leave your cars at home so you can have a few Christmas drinks 🙂
