Dinghy Regatta

The CSBC Annual Dinghy Regatta incorporating the Junior Regatta, will take place this Saturday and Sunday 8/9th September.

The racing format will be as follows:

  • Saturday 8th September
  • 1300 warning signal – 3 races back to back
  •  Food in the clubhouse to follow, with live music in the bar.

  • Sunday 9th September

There will be 1 discard after 4 races. Junior regatta will follow the same format, although shorter course and separate start. There are plenty of boats in the yard, so no excuses!!! RYANI Volvo Youth Championships

See below from RYA:

The RYANI Volvo Youth Championships will be held at Ballyholme Yacht Club on the 29th and 30th September 2012.  Entries shall be accepted online until the 26th September, after which entry shall close (please see the Notice of Race).

In 2011, 115 competitors raced for the overall Youth and Junior titles as well as the NI Schools Cup from over 12 clubs in the region.   The current NI Olympic sailors have competed at the event in previous years with 3 sailors competing at London 2012.

Richard Honeyford, Performance Manager for the RYANI comments “the RYANI Volvo Youth Championships is a great opportunity for youth sailors from across Northern Ireland to come together and race with their peers.  The experience levels range from sailors competing at their first championship to those who have competed at the highest international levels, giving a great platform to learn and progress at a multi class event.”

The event website can be found at  . Sailors should read the NOR and enter through this site.   Further details will also be made online in the lead up to the event.

Entry is now open – be sure to get your application in early!
