Honda Rib Challenge

The boat club ran the Honda RIB Challenge on Saturday 29th March.

The successful competitors were Jane Emerson, Dara McAllister, Conor McLaughlin and Mannix McAllister. They will be going through to the regional final which takes place in September.

AGM

The AGM takes place this Sunday at 1600 hrs in the clubhouse.

No sailing happened over Easter but hopefully the weather will be better this Sunday with racing scheduled to start at 1230.

Sport Relief

Cushendall Sailing and Boating Club members Mary and James Farrell sailed a mile for Sport Relief on Sunday. Thanks to sponsorship from the members they raised almost £200 for the good causes.

Cushendall Sailing and Boating Club’s 2008 sailing programme starts next Sunday (Easter Sunday) and there is a full programme of events until Christmas.

The dinghy sailing season starts in a weeks time with Easter Sunday sailing. The Emily Tankard is up for grabs with racing starting at 2.30 sharp.

The Egg Race starts at 2.30 on Faster Monday. Sunday sailing continues every Sunday at 12.30.

So lets try and get all the boats out and start the season as we mean to go on.

Race Officer Training

CSBC will be running 2 short courses to refresh existing Race Offices and introduce new Race Officers on the elements of running a Club Race at CSBC.

The course is short 2 - 2½ hours. All materials and notes are provided.

Dates & Times:

Saturday 15 March 1400 - 1630
Saturday 29 March 1400 - 1630

Venue: CSBC

There will be no cost
(However you might need a drink afterwards!)

Change to Dinghy Fixtures

This weekends fixtures have changed. On Saturday 13th the VAT 19 will be sailed for at 2.00pm and on Sunday the Appreciation trophy at 12.30pm.

Also can everyone return all the trophes to the club this weekend so they can be engraved for the annual dinner which is the following weekend
